EmpowerRF: Vaginal Rejuvenation

EmpowerRF: a Safe and Effective Path to Vaginal Rejuvenation and Pelvic Floor Wellness

Vaginal rejuvenation can consist of any one or a combination of several procedures that address physiological imperfections in the vagina. There are many reasons you may choose vaginal rejuvenation, and the vast majority of women report an improvement in vaginal function and their self-confidence post-procedure.

Women who have been through menopause or find intercourse painful for other physical reasons may find laser vaginal rejuvenation treatment helpful. Laser treatment therapies for vaginal tissue and the pelvic floor can improve elasticity, increase muscle strength, increase natural lubrication, and enhance your quality of life.

Vaginal rejuvenation with the EmpowerRF at my office can also improve the strength of your pelvic floor muscles. Age, menopause, and childbirth can all weaken the pelvic floor muscles leading to more problems.

While cosmetic surgery like labiaplasty is often used to improve the appearance of the labia majora, and vaginoplasty surgically rejuvenates the vaginal canal, these surgical procedures require more recovery time than non-invasive methods.

Fortunately, non-surgical methods of vaginal rejuvenation can produce excellent results with no downtime. Additionally, as they’re not plastic surgery, they can frequently be completed by your OB/GYN instead of a plastic surgeon.

One of the newest and safest procedures is EmpowerRF by InMode.

EmpowerRF for Vaginal Rejuvenation

What is EmpowerRF?

InMode EmpowerRF is a system that offers a variety of vaginal rejuvenation procedures, pelvic muscle therapy, and vaginal floor therapy. Approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for safety and efficacy, the EmpowerRF’s minimally invasive techniques don’t require surgery or lengthy recovery times.

The EmpowerRF platform comprises several technologically advanced handheld devices, allowing me to treat various vaginal and pelvic concerns in-office, including:

  • Vaginal laxity
  • Painful intercourse
  • Sexual dysfunction/discomfort during sexual intercourse
  • Labia and vulva aesthetics
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Stress urinary incontinence and urinary leaking
  • Overactive bladder
How does EmpowerRF work?

How does EmpowerRF work?

Each device in the EmpowerRF system targets problem areas with specifically designed tools and methods. Fractional heat, muscle stimulation, and improving circulation are just a few of the tools in EmpowerRF’s tool box. The advanced system allows me to quickly and effectively target areas of concern using one of its four modalities:

  • Intravaginal electrical muscle stimulation (EMS)
  • Bipolar radiofrequency energy (RFE)
  • Sub-dermal fractional micro-needling and coagulation
  • Electrical muscle stimulation (EMS)

I will choose the best EmpowerRF tool and modality based on your personal needs and goals. The best part is that all of these can be performed in the comfort of our office – no hospital admission or overnight stays.

I have multiple EmpowerRF tools to choose from, depending on my patient’s needs.

VTone

I often encounter patients seeking effective treatments for urinary incontinence, which can be a sensitive and distressing issue. One innovative approach that has shown promising results is VTone therapy.

The VTone procedure does the following:

This method is a non-invasive option that focuses on strengthening the pelvic floor muscles using electrical muscle stimulation (EMS). Strong pelvic floor muscles are crucial for bladder control.

The VTone treatment involves is straightforward and patient-friendly: a specially designed applicator is gently inserted into the vaginal canal, where it delivers EMS. This stimulation induces muscle contractions, thereby aiding in the rehabilitation and strengthening of both the pelvic floor and its accessory muscles.

The treatment typically requires very little downtime, although it’s advisable to adhere to a short period of pelvic rest post-treatment, usually lasting a couple of days.

How many VTone sessions are needed?

For those considering this treatment, it’s important to note that the effectiveness of VTone can vary based on the individual. Generally, a series of three to six sessions is recommended to achieve the best outcomes.

What does the VTone procedure cost?

$275 per session

$1,600 for a package of six weekly sessions.

FormaV

This non-invasive therapy leverages radiofrequency (RF) energy to gently warm the vaginal tissues. It’s designed to address a range of concerns including vaginal laxity, dryness, urinary incontinence, and even aspects of sexual satisfaction.

The FormaV procedure does the following:

  • Tightens the vaginal canal and promotes collagen restructuring.
  • Improves vaginal elasticity, sensitivity, and lubrication

The principle behind FormaV is quite intriguing. It employs RF technology to evenly distribute gentle heat across the vaginal canal. This process is pivotal in stimulating collagen production, which plays a key role in improving the elasticity and overall health of the vaginal tissues. What’s particularly appealing about FormaV is its minimal downtime. Patients might experience a slight sensation of warmth for a few hours post-treatment, but this is generally well-tolerated.

How many FormaV sessions are needed?

For those considering FormaV, the recommended course of treatment typically involves one to three sessions. This is to ensure the best possible outcomes. Each session builds on the last, progressively enhancing the strength and elasticity of the vaginal tissues.

What does the FormaV procedure cost?

$1,100 per session

$2,550 for a package of three

MorpheusV

As an OB/GYN, I frequently discuss and recommend advanced treatments for intimate health concerns. A notable new option in this field is MorpheusV, a state-of-the-art, non-invasive procedure designed for vaginal rejuvenation. This technique blends the efficacy of radiofrequency (RF) technology with the precision of microneedling to address a variety of intimate health issues.

The MorpheusV procedure does the following:

  • Remodels the labia and rejuvenates the vaginal canal using radiofrequency energy.
  • Tightens the vaginal canal, increases lubrication, and renews thickness, strength, and tone in the labia and vaginal walls.

The MorpheusV stands out due to its ability to naturally stimulate the body’s collagen and elastin production. These two proteins are pivotal in maintaining the structural integrity and elasticity of vaginal tissues. By enhancing their production, MorpheusV effectively improves vaginal laxity, tightness, and overall tone. This not only contributes to a rejuvenated appearance but can also play a significant role in reducing dryness and boosting sexual satisfaction.

The process itself is remarkably patient-friendly, with minimal downtime required. Following the treatment, some patients may experience mild symptoms such as redness or soreness, and a brief period of pelvic rest is generally advised. These effects are typically short-lived, allowing patients to quickly resume their normal activities.

The Morpheus8 is also available for facial skin rejuvenation.

How many MorpheusV sessions are needed?

Typically, one to three sessions of MorpheusV are recommended to achieve the best results, though this can differ based on individual needs and goals. As always, it’s crucial to consult with us to determine if MorpheusV is the right solution for your specific concerns and to understand what you can expect from the treatment.

What does the MorpheusV procedure cost?

$1,500 per session

$3,000 for a package of three

Tone

Like the VTone, the Tone uses EMS but is designed for the body. Its EMS pulses trigger involuntary muscle contractions to retrain and strengthen specific muscle groups.

Is the InMode system safe postpartum?

InMode has an exceptional track record when it comes to safety. For vaginal rejuvenation, you should wait at least six weeks for your vagina to heal from the stress of childbirth. As a highly trained OB/GYN, I can work with you to determine when it’s safe to begin treatment and how to achieve your best possible outcome.

What to expect during an EmpowerRF session?

Depending on which vaginal health procedure you need, sessions can range from 10 to 30 minutes. EmpowerRF therapies produce little to no discomfort, but you may experience a heating sensation and don’t even require numbing cream.

None of the EmpowerRF treatments require general anesthesia or prolonged downtime after the procedure. In most cases, you can drive yourself to and from your appointment, and all sessions can be completed in my office. During your consultation, I’ll help you customize an InMode EmpowerRF treatment that matches your goals.

During your consultation, we’ll also go over your medical history to ensure you’re a good candidate and discuss any risks.

What is EmpowerRF aftercare?

Most patients have no side effects and can return to work and their routine the same day. It’s best to delay your return to physical activity, such as hitting the gym, until the day after your procedure and not soak in a bath or hot tub for at least three days.

We advise patients to avoid sexual activity for 48 to 72 hours after their non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation.
